I dreamed a dream

Then I was young and unafraid,
And dreams were made and used and wasted.
There was no ransom to be paid,
No song unsung, no wine, untasted.

Yes.. if not for Susan Boyle I wouldn't have paid much attention to the lyrics of this beautiful song in Les Miserables.

School holiday traffic

I woke up rather late this morning. To my suprise the the traffic to work wasn't bad at all. Ah... school holiday..

Everyone who drives in the morning notice a difference when the kids are not in school.. whether you have kids or not.

That means.. most people drop off their kids at school?

It's a cycle, isn't it. You go with your kid to see a paediatrician..you might go with your folks to see a geriatrician in outpatient.

It's perpetual. Until things like the "independent living allowances" comes in.. when 16 year olds leave home and "be supported" by the state ..

I've decided, I'm not going to drive my kid to school. Yes. I might change my mind tomorrow.

Graduation, Easter, Forgiveness

Do you remember the speech by the guest speaker at your graduation? I can't. As far as speech goes I think this one is pretty good and amazing really.

As we celebrate Easter, I'm reminded of the words Jesus said on the cross.
Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.

World's largest piano

Adrian Mann started building his piano when he was 16. He is a man with a vision, a man with a dream.

I bet he probably didn't waste time writing blogs in the farm shed, or in his bedroom for that matter.

Simply extraordinary.

The Global Poverty Project

Hugh Evans said this is the generation that finally has the financial means to end extreme global poverty. Let's hope that this is the generation that indeed, finally cares about the plight of our less fortunate friends.
