Generation Y so connected but oh so lonely - Here is the challenge

No, I haven't watched BBC's the Monastery, although I would love to. I have just started reading this book and here are some food for thoughts:

"Virtue is the door into the sacred sanctuary because virtue is not a consumer product; it is not just a refuge from our anxieties nor a pause from a busy life; not something we can purchase in order to relieve the symptoms of modern life. Virtue is the recognition of the sacred in daily life. As we open the door of virtue in our personal and working lives, we will open the way into a sanctuary of peace for ourselves and others. We are enabled to lead a unified life with the same values at home and at work, a life that is transparent and has nothing to hide."

"The basic starting point for entering sacred sanctuary is the quality of your day-to-day dealings with other people. You cannot mistreat people one moment and then find sanctuary the next..."

Regardless of your faith, I challenge you to find, enter and dwell in your sacred sanctuary.

The Carters - 65 years of marriage

"The Carters say their keys to a long, fulfilling marriage are fairly simple. They're loyal to each other. They communicate. They try not to go to bed fighting. "

"The bottom line is we've been able to resolve our differences," said the former president.

"And I'm her trusted editor and she's my best editor. But I know that the final words are mine."

"And I know that my final words are mine," Rosalynn interjects.

Like any good marriage.
