The Greenbrier Hotel

Browsing http://www.stuff.co.nz/ today, I was most intrigued by this article on a hotel that was said to be America's best.

From the hotel, there is an entrance to a little known Cold war era bunker.

I suppose people go to Greenbrier in groups, in company of loved ones, friends, or family.

The idea that in the event of a nuclear war, the whole US Congress, members included, were to evacuate to this bunker, without their family, is really beyond any one's imagination.

A pretty daft idea, probably by some pretty clever people in power then.
