I came to know of the tragic stories of the Tibhirine monks from reading the book "The Vertical Self" by Mark Sayers. This is one of those books that make you think about life, your values, and the Christian Faith. At the very end, he mentioned these monks. The story was in fact made into a film, and got the 2010 Grand Jury Prize at Cannes. I can't wait to watch it.
